Many of us have always experienced cables as an annoyance, as something that should be hidden away in the wall or under the sofa.
In the 0s, Muuto launched their E27 lamp with a coloured cable, a coloured socket and an oversized bulb, thereby focusing on what we normally try to hide away. With colours and design, the cable was made interesting and inspiring instead of distracting. The idea was not new, but it was ready to trend in the following decades. Since then, colourful cables have spread across lamp collections, and they have entered the gadget market, where we see them in connection with USB cables and various electronic products, and ColorCable adds designer power strips in Pantone colours.
Inspired by the innovation of cables in recent decades, we want to continue the trend and create beautiful designer power strips and extension cords, in combination with a customer-friendly design. Power strips and extension cords should be design objects and accessories that harmonize with our personal style. At ColorCable, we want to combine the power strip and extension cord with a touch of Milan, and bring the joy of colour to where practicality screams for aesthetic salvation.
Our design philosophy is based on highlighting what cannot be hidden away: "If you can't hide it, make it beautiful."
We combine this philosophy with a minimalist Danish design and inspiring colours. Through market analyses and models, we create a customer-based design process that originates in the target group and market segment for which the product is created. The lines for ColorCable's minimalist designer power strips are drawn by ARDE design studio, which we have chosen based on their inspiring projects for BoConcept and Eva Solo, among others. ARDE design studio works from a Scandinavian minimalist perspective, combined with a focus on sustainability and exclusivity.
Our colour philosophy springs from fashion's pulsating "walk-ways", where colours adorn and create eternal inspiration and change. At ColorCable, we want to adorn your everyday life and create eternal change with an aesthetic and colourful collection that can inspire and create joy.
