Cloths are still one of the preferred methods for removing dirt. On this page, you will find an overview of the different cleaning cloths we sell. In addition, you can find our tea towels, which are great for drying and durable in the wash.
We recommend microfiber cloths for cleaning virtually all surfaces. Although the price is slightly higher compared to universal cloths, the money is quickly recouped in the form of longer durability and reduced time consumption.
What is a microfiber cloth?
Microfiber is typically made of 80% polyester and 20% polyamides, bound together into fibers, which are split 16 times into triangular threads. The threads are thinner than one-hundredth of a human hair.
The triangular microfibers have exceptional cleaning power and flexibility. Microfibers attract dust and dirt, and the microscopic fibers clean down into the smallest irregularities.
The fibers are self-cleaning, so it is not always necessary to use cleaning agents. Dry dust and dust bunnies can easily be removed with a dry microfiber cloth, while stains probably need a little cleaning agent.
Why are microfiber cloths better than other cleaning cloths?
Perhaps you have ordinary cotton cloths at home that clean perfectly well. But it might also be that the cloths are not so good for all types of cleaning?
A microfiber cloth can more easily penetrate deeply and clean away dirt and grease due to its microscopic fibers. For dusting, a microfiber cloth is also better, as dust is effectively captured when you wipe the microfiber across the surface. The microfiber acts like a magnet: The dust is attracted and locked into the cloth.
Glass cloths for streak-free glass wiping
There are various solutions when you need to polish windows, mirrors, or screens. For example, you can use chef's tea towels or other available cloths. But if you don't achieve a good, clean result with the cloths you have, a microfiber glass cloth can be the best alternative.
A microfiber glass cloth is a thinner type of cloth, for example, 40×40 cm. It is designed to clean glass, mirrors, screens, steel, and other sensitive surfaces.
The glass cloth can be used in both dry and wet conditions, thereby limiting the use of chemicals. It is important to use the cloth in a clean state, as a microfiber cloth with dust and dirt can risk scratching the surface.
Microfiber cloths are quite clever cloths for effective cleaning without cleaning agents. They can be used for both dry and wet cleaning, and they are available in an eco-labeled version. Microfibers have nothing to do with microplastics!
